Ross Christopher's latest full-length album, PHASES, is a deeply moving concept album, conjuring the Phases of the moon. PHASES is both hopeful and stirring and features Ross Christopher's unique ability to blend other-worldly ambient guitars with cascading violins and cellos. Each song is a sonic representation of its particular lunar phase - moving from darkness to light, and fading again towards darkness.

Dots of silvery sound, gently falling, scattering and shimmering: the dialogue of slumber itself, who like a child, laughs, muses, plays, wonders and teases, poking fun at those who are merely awake. Bell-like realisations, a language not comprehensible and only understandable when sleep covers the senses. The strange logic of sleep speaks on this album and I can listen in on the mechanics of dreams. Maybe I should drift off while listening to this...but what will the music say to me? The Vast Wilds
